How do I change a picture to 1280x1024?

I got two pictures that are 1024x768 and I need to change them both to 1280x1024, how do I do this?How do I change a picture to 1280x1024?
Do you know that if you increase the resolution there will be a quality loss.

If you have Microsoft office picture manager which is installed with Office package. Right click the picture and select open with Microsoft office picture manager.

In Microsoft office picture manager select Edit picture which is on top, select Resize which is to the right side select custom height and type the values.

You can find Resize option is almost all professional picture editing software but not in MSPAINT :( ..How do I change a picture to 1280x1024?
You could try using the free GIMP program [short for: GNU Image Manipulation Program] and then with: IMAGE =%26gt; Scale Image you can adjust it to any size you want.

Good luck!
It's easy. The free program ';IrfanView'; can do this. Get the plug-ins, too.

One thing to watch out for: aspect ratio. 1024x768 is designed for CRT monitors, but many LCD monitors are 1280x1024--so the aspect ratio (the ratio of the image's width to height) differs slightly.

Steps:

* Load the original image.

* Go to the ';Image'; menu.

* Select ';Resize/Resample.';

* De-select the ';Preserve aspect ratio'; checkbox. %26lt;-- IMPORTANT

* Enter the new numbers under ';Set new size.';

* Click ';OK.';

* Go to the ';File'; menu.

* Select ';Save as.';

* Enter a new file name and save it.

That should do it...
