To add or change your photo:

What causes the desktop preferences to ghost out the choices to change my desktop picture?
Every time I try to change the picture on the computer desktop, I right-click, choose preferences, and then desktop. The background choices are all ghosted out. I can't even click ';Set as background'; on any pictures, because it doesn't show up. Any idea how to fix it? This method of selective color can be used in Photoshop and GIMP both:

Pictures change contrast after saving from photoshop?
For a while I've been having this problem with my monitor. I've checked my drawings on others (non lcd like mine) and this is how it looks
Drawings look fine in photoshop. Sometimes After I save them as jpegs or any other file and open from desktop or folder they look more contrasted.

Oh, thats called a gif (graphics interlaced format). It rapidly switches between pictures, almost like a mini cartoon if it does it fast enough. to make that, you need a gif maker program, I suggest Active Gif Creator, which can be downloaded for free from freedownloadscenter.com. You just lay the pictures in the order you want, adjust the speed at which they change then save, and then host on myspace. I hope it works for you!
i've used photoshop to do that. you can animate an image using different layers. you should be able to find instructions on how to animate it and save it for the web under the help button in photoshop. i made a really cool image for a friend using the animation once.

How do I make the photos change on my 360 page?
When I first added a photo album to my page I was able to click a button that made the thumbnail pictures change continuously like a slideshow. Now they don't change on their own, and when I click the forward button the page reloads and comes back up with the next picture. Also, an ugly SUBMIT button whose purpose I don't know has appeared above the photos, along with a pull-down menu I don't want because there is only one album. This is the second Mac Mini I've had that does this. Whenever I boot up, my desktop background changes to one that I had previously. How can I make it so that I have ONE background picture each time I boot up? I've gone through my preferences and EVERYTHING trying to figure it out. How to change picture resolution?
ps3, ok on guitar hero, my new tv is really high def and nice, bu guitar hero on it is laggy, no matter how many time is (calibrate te lag) it is always mestup, my friend told me to chnage my ps3 picture res. since i got a really nce tv to 1080i
but wen i go to display settings, then video output settings its on 480i, so i figure change it to 1080i its all good, everything will work, but when i go to change it..it makes me hoose (component/d-terminal) (composite/s video_ (AV multi/scart) (hdmi), so i tired all of them, after choosing them i says stuff about the screen goingblank if the setting is not correct, and all of then besides (compisite / s video) go blank, and when i choose that one it says (16:9) (4:3) i choose eiher then it says the conncter type the resoliution (standard)? and tv type (16:9) i hit enter and finish, nothing happens, i choose compontet d terminal, it works! it says select all resolutions your tv can support, im sure it supports all, it was like 3000 bucks, and huge, HELLA good tv, so i say whtever and try all, then one at a time, whatever, every kind of possiblility, and it says the screen will go black if not correct, and i they screen goes black after 30 seconds, it goes back to display options? howcome i cant change it to 1080i or 1080p or watever?How to change picture resolution?

How do you change the album picture on your itunes?

Javascript change picture for different browser.?
I want to display a different image on my website based on the user's web browser. I have found a site that will accurately tell me which browser I am using, so I know that it's possible. http://whatbrowseramiusing.com/ I copied the source code form that site to my site and it worked but I couldn't figure out how to display an image instead of text. Hi that sounds weird The Mother computer must either have a trojan in it or the settings are wrong,settings can sometimes change on a computer out of the blue for no apparent reason.as though im good at these things im not quite sure whats doing it,if i was there to see it i'd be able to solve it.you should get another answer very soon better than mine,if it was happening to my computer i'd have it sorted straight away,ive just turned 22 and ive been at computers since i was 16,ive never come accross this problem,good luck with it!!!!!!!!!

Then, I saw that it didn't change on DISQUS when I was commenting. So then I logged out of both, but it still didn't change.
Then; I even stopped sharing my yahoo info with DISQUS and reshared it. The picture still stayed the same. And so did my old profile name [I changed my name too].

Why does my My Pictures folder icon change and how to change it back?
I'm using windows xp.
I've expierienced this a few times before and I never knew how to change it back. problem is, my icon for MY PICTURES has changed to standard, closed folder icon. Putting the file back in to the folder will solve the problem.
Open My documents folder.
click on File,
Against new, click folder,
A new folder will be created.
Right click on new folder and click properties,
click customize,
under folder icons (at bottom), click change icon.
In the icons window search for my picture icon (folder icon with picture) , click on it.
press OK.OK.
Now new folder will have new icon of my pictures.
Double click this folder and copy Desktop.ini file.
Paste Desktop.ini file in original My pictures folder.
Icon of My pictures folder will change as you desired.
You can delete now the newly created folder.
Pl note:

I need a Java applicaion, a rotating knob for changing pictures.?
Does anyone know of a good javascript, exact source and examples where I can find this. I have a design, where when you rotate the knob (like a volume knob), the image on the web page changes. The image change reponds like volume.
eg: there are 2 images - red on the left, and blue on the right. As I rotate the knob clockwise, the red image keeps fading out and the blue image keeps fading in. I rotate the knob anti clockwise, then the oppsite happens.
Does anyone know how to do this or can anyone point me to a good source.

How to make a picture change according to a date?
Ok so I need a little help here. I want a picture on my site to change when it's a certain date. Like when it's August 28th I want to display clouds, when it's August 29th I want it to display a sun, and on August 30th a football. I don't want those exact images those are just examples. Is there a way to take a couple pictures and combine them to make a moving picture?
like, can i use html or java or something to make a moving image? so like when i have a pic on a site it changes pictures like the following one: http://www.archive.org/serve/macbeth/mac see that moves thats what i wanna do. but how?

you can also do it in photo shop. You have to set the layers dto a time frame. It will walk you through it in the help section.

i Don't Suggest you to use Java OR Javascript but i suggest that you use this program because it's easy and very helpfull for you

Photo sites for changing pictures?
I recently got on mythem.com and the site is great for playing around with your pictures but it is not real user friendly -- I can't figure it all out although I've played with it a lot. There isn't a lot of help under ';help'; either. Are there more user friendly sites or do you know how to get good instruction on mytheme.com?Photo sites for changing pictures?
I just switched to shutterfly. I like it a lot. It's pretty easy. Be careful though, while it is free, they try to sell you a lot of stuff. I don't know about mytheme but with shutterfly you can send an album and have whoever look at it without registering.Photo sites for changing pictures?
