How to change picture in Inkscape? Please help?

How do I change the size of a picture in Inkscape? I tried, but the width and the length wouldn't match up.



How do I change the color of a picture that I imported? It is black now, but I would like to see the image in other colors.

if you want to resize object or image, select corner and drag, , use shift/control key for center, and control for proportion, you can also use h%26amp;w tool on menu with lock for accuracy in sizes,
