How to change folder picture on windows7?

i need to change picture on folder view i tried changing the name of picture to folder and it shows up but it also shows other files in folder and also is there a way to show the picture on the folder lik xp instead of sticking out of the folder.How to change folder picture on windows7?
right click on it and go to properties and go to the customize tab and click on change icon, and there should be a couple to choose from. hope this helped
