How can you make your pictures look great?

On Myspace i see a lot of people fix up there pictures and make it look great. What i want to know is where can i go 2 add the flashing text like to make it change colors and make the background flash or picture change to another picture and anything like that. I currently use picnik but it doesnt do that. Plz help :]How can you make your pictures look great?

i do,

step 1. put the camera in the computer{or whatever you use ?}

step 2.if a regular pop-up comes on, click ';View Pictures';

step 3. chose a picture,

step 4. edit it they way by tint,color ect.
