Ok well I don't really know how to change the Icon pictures. It just has an internet blue e. I think it's a SONY laptop because that's what it says under the screen. When you right click any Icon and click 'Properties' , underneath the 'Web Document' URL tab there should be button to 'change Icon' or some such. When you click that it will take you to a dll library where a bunch of Icons are stored and you can pick one.
You can also go to any other folder from the 'Browse' dropdown and fetch Icons but remember that the images need to be in the .ico extension. Just take your pics to Paint.net (free) or any image editor and size them (48 x 48 works well) and name them/it whatever.ico and then the 'Change Icon' tool will find them.

Just got a new DSLR and I've kept it on Auto ISO and I've wanted to try changing it up. How does ISO affect the picture?How does changing ISO change your pictures?
ISO is Light Sensitivity relative to the image or subject matter you wish to capture. Current technology suggests that noise will result in the higher ISO levels but as that same technology improves with noise handling, the ISO will also deal better with noise.
I don't want you to think that fast ISO settings are going to give you lower quality images because, as the technology improves, that answer will also degrade accordingly.
Noise a the present time is an issue with some sensors and, as improvements are made in equipment the noise will diminish accordingly so higher ISO images will ultimately be as good as lower ISO images in quality.
Currently however... if you elect to chose a higher ISO in order to speed up your shutter speed, you risk the chance of a lower quality (not clarity) of image output.
Everything is give and take... in order to get speed, you surrender depth of field (wider aperture along with subject to lens distance) and, sometimes the sacrifice is accommodated by changing the ISO of the digital capture in order to satisfy the needs of the photographer.
Photography is making decisions based on your need to provide information that relays your emotional impression.

HIgh ISO film (over 400) is used to either capture high speed events without blur in bright or normal light, or to take photos in low light. High ISO shots tend to be more grainy than low ISO.
ISO is combined with shutter speed and f-stop to get a correct exposure. If you have a bright light source and a low ISO, you need a slower shutter speed, and/or a more open aperture (f-stop) to get a properly exposed shot, than if you are using a higher ISO.

I posted a slideshow on myspace and now I want to change the pictures on it. I totally erased all the pics on my pictures page and addednew ones and selected my slideshow that i wanted. On the dialog, under ';Stretch';, set the Horizontal and Vertical values so that they will re-size your picture to the desired size (a little algebra helps here).
If you can't do the algebra, try entering 50% Horizontal and 50% Vertical, and see what that does to your picture. You can determine the results of your stretching operation by utilizing the Attributes dialog, which tells you the current size of your picture. If you don't like the new size, just use the Undo command.

Please can anyone show me a really quick way to change all the jpeg pictures I have to 300 DPI and what package I can use. I am having problems sending pictures through my email because they are too large. They usually are between 800-900 kb which apparently is too big for yahoo or other email systems.

How to change a batch of pictures' DPI automatically?
I am using Photoshop CS4 and I found a way using image processor to change the quality of the JPEGs. However, I want to change my pictures resolution from 300 DPI to 75 DPI for web posting. Sorry, but those pictures are no good and can't be ';fixed.';
In the future -- as fhotoace was saying -- set you camera's quality at the highest possible settings. You never, never, never want to shoot at your camera's lowest settings! Because if you do, you might as well have bought a much cheaper camera in the first place.

How do I change the pictures of the aircraft in FSX?
First, I realize that this is not the Game section but the majority of the people in the Aircraft section play FSX, I chose to put this in this section. When I go to free flight, and I choose what plane I want to fly, there are pictures with each plane. I have installed some other planes such as the F-117 and F-14D but the pictures are not the same size as the rest of them which irritates me. I have window vista so first i go to my computer and i open the (c) drive. then i go to program files (*86) and i then go to microsoft games. open the FSX file. then i got to sim objects. in sim objects i select planes. (its the same thing for helicopters) you select the aircraft that you would like to change. in that aircraft's file there should be a picture, erase that picture and add your own.
P.S. i would make a backup copy of the aircraft's file before modifying it. take the backup copy and put it in the sim objects folder. it helps just in case what your trying to do doesn't work.
if it doesn't work, then erase the modified file and replace it with the backup copy.

Hello, recently the font in Internet Explorer changed. I have gone to Tools -%26gt; Internet Options -%26gt; Fonts, but I have not had success. The ';turn off computer'; font has also changed. Also, system restore is not working.

to change the font in internet explorer blue bar, means someone has changed the appearance of your display.
this can happen by selecting a different theme or altering your existing theme.
So to select or chose the theme you want do this

I think it'd be cute! But if I were you, I wouldn't have it cut too short. Because of your face shape, it's better to have long-to-medium hair for balance. To help balance out this look even further, I suggest a few curls on your bangs and around your face. Or you could crimp the hair around your face.

it could look great if you have it done right. are you looking to dye it a natural color, or a wild color (pink , etc) if you could take that first picture you have to the salon, and tell them to make it look JUST like hers, that would be a good idea.

Hi there, I have about 291 pages of pictures saved on a disk that opens as a word document. i'm basically doing a project and need to convert these pictures to jpeg asap. I have a Motorola Razr cell phone. It's one of the first ones-- wide and flat.(BR50, I think?)
Like most phones, it came with backgrounds already programmed into the phone.
The programmed pictures fit the WHOLE screen-- width and height.
BUT,
when I take my own pictures, they are wide enough, but no high enough.
Therefore, when I put a picture that I have taken as the background, there are ugly, bland, blue bars that are on the top and bottom of the picture.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to make the photos I take fit the whole screen?

Go to a photo kiosk like at Wal-Mart and when you either scan the photo, negative or use the digital image on a disc you can print a copy in black and white or sepia using the kiosk.
I don't know what you paid for your camera or computer, but I think spending under $100 for Photoshop Elements would be a good investment.
That said, to convert image files to black and white, you will need to desaturated the image and then using the levels tool adjust the black threshold, white threshold and then move the mid-tone adjustment until your image looks its best ... the results however may be based upon how well your computers monitor is calibrated.
basically what you are looking to do can be called desaturation or conversion to grey (in photoshop there are always 15 ways to do anything.
If you want to do it with a free tool, consider xnview. They have a convert to grey option. Just remember, you want to keep the maximum number of greys when you do that, otherwise you will loose the image details. After the image is grey, you can play with hues and make it sepia, etc.

Go to Fix
Adjust Color
Then move the saturation slider all the way to the left.
Adjust the tint slider until it looks right and save!

HTML can't do this. You need JavaScript or something else more powerful.
Well you can download a free trial of an animation program such as Animation Shop 3, which you might be able to find on download.com. You'll then have to animate your self and save it as a .gif

You can create an album on photobucket.com and make 4 slide shows and it will give you an HTML code for it.

Well you can download a free trial of an animation program such as Animation Shop 3, which you might be able to find on download.com. You'll then have to animate your self and save it as a .gif

I use Animation Shop 3...I believe that the interface is similar. Try: Edit -%26gt; Select All and Animation -%26gt; Frame Properties -%26gt; Display Time...set it to about 100.

You can not control the pixels per inch in your camera, as this is a function of the sensor. I have found the following ppi for SOME cameras by the following manufacturers. I wonder if this specification is available anywhere. I have four camera manuals in front of me and I can't find it in any of them.
NIKON - 300 ppi
CANON - 180 ppi
PENTAX - 72 ppi
We ';discussed'; this by way of question and answers a while back and decided that the ppi file produced by the camera really did not have any effect on the capability to produce a good print. If I take a photo with my wife's 6 MP Nikon and view the image on the screen, it will start out as 300 ppi. If it's a full frame image of 3008 pixels x 2000 pixels, the SCREEN image would be pretty big if I viewed it full sized, but it would print 10.0'; x 6.6';. If you crop a 5x7 out of this, keeping it as full-frame as possible, it becomes 400 dpi.
With my brother's 6 MP Pentax, the image is 2816 px x 2112 px, but it's at 72 ppi. If you print this without cropping, it would be 39'; x 29';!!! If you crop a 5x7 out of this, though, it becomes 402 dpi resolution, which is virtually identical for the Nikon 6 MP camera.
With my son's 6 MP Canon Powershot A620, the image is 3072 px x 2304 px, but it's at 180 ppi. If you could possibly print this without cropping, it would be 17.1'; x 12.8';. If you crop a 5x7 out of this, though, it becomes 439 dpi resolution, which is a bit better than either of the other 6 MP cameras.
In other words, regardless of the sensor's pixel-per-inch output, 6 MP cameras produced the same resolution when it came time to print comparable images. How about a camera with more pixels?
If I take a photo with my 10 MP Nikon D200 and view the image on the screen, it will start out as 300 ppi. If it's a full frame image of 3872 pixels x 2592 pixels, the SCREEN image would be pretty big if I viewed it full sized, but it would print 12.9'; x 8.6';, if I had the right paper. If you crop a 5x7 out of this, keeping it as full-frame as possible, it becomes 516 dpi, or higher resolution than the 6 MP cameras. We knew that is would work out like this, though, didn't we?
The REAL question is, what difference does this make in the real world? If we agree that 300 dpi is an excellent resolution for prints, as long as you end up with at least 300 ppi after you are done cropping on the screen, you will get an excellent print as far as resolution goes. All four cameras exceed that amount. I usually resize ';down'; to 300 dpi before printing, because you can't tell the difference above that resolution anyway. Most people would be quite happy with a 200 dpi print, so go ahead and crop a bit. If you get a print resolution too much below 200 dpi, you will start to see digital artifact in the print and it will be objectionable.

So, if your goal is an excellent print with dots that are small enough that they are no longer distinguishable as individual dots without magnification, you need to print at 300 dpi. You can go down in resolution to 200 dpi and still have satisfcatory results. The resolution of 200 or 300 dpi is NOT a function of the camera beyond the degree that I have discussed above. It is determined by the software you are editting your pictures with and you usually have enough size to work with using any camera at or above 6 MP to get decent pictures.
Working this out is easy once you understand the concept of print resolution. If you want 300 dpi, just do the math.
4'; x 6';
4 inches x 300 dots per inch = 1,200 dots
6 inches x 300 dots per inch = 1,800 dots
1,200 dots x 1,800 dots = 2,160,000 dots or 2.2 MP
5'; x 7';
5 inches x 300 dots per inch = 1,500 dots
7 inches x 300 dots per inch = 2,100 dots
1,500 dots x 2,100 dots = 3,150,000 dots or 3.2 MP
8'; x 10';
8 inches x 300 dots per inch = 2,400 dots

You can't change that in-camera, nor should you be worried about it. The pixel count determines how much resolution you have. The DPI setting is just an instruction for your monitor or printer, that tells it how closely together to display those pixels.
When you make/ order prints, you normally specify the desired size for your prints, and this automatically overrides the default setting of 72 dpi.
The Sony A100 has a maximum resolution of 3872x2592 pixels. At 72dpi this would result in a 54x36 inch print! (3872 pixels / 72 dots per inch = 53.8 inches)
At 300dpi, you get a 13x8.6 inch print.
And if your prints are smaller than that, theoretically you're using a setting that's even higher than 300dpi.
